Sokol Buza was born in Tirana Albania, in a family that was very passionate about art, in which his father and grandfather would dedicate their everyday work in creating art, also teaching and educating the new generation of artists.

The studio where his predecessors created their work turned from a playground as  kid, into a place where he started to learn and create his own art works.

Sokol graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, Albania.

He also studied Graphic Design at the Loyola University Chicago.

Sokol has also been dedicating time to photography.

Sokol’s body of work explores the human form, the condition and its surroundings.

His creative process is based on building up layers with different materials adding and scraping them , with the intention of leaving behind traces of information, messages and feelings which are tied together in the final stage.

Sokol creates work that  reflect his ideas, and often can not be literally interpreted. By doing so he lives room for more personal perception and interpretation for the art lovers.
